To Whom It May Concern:

I first wrote to you on 6/25/02, about one month after my full illumination. I had given up on you, but for some reason Father bids that I write you again. He is a strange one! I do not think I am welcome on your premises, having experienced persecution so many years ago, giving me cause to leave. Yet, I identify Easwaran as the foremost guru of our times, head and shoulders above people like Da Free John, Meher Baba and Sai Baba, who stated his spirituality humbly out of compassion for mankind, instead of proudly in an attempt to draw followers. His advice was the most helpful of all, and the only reason his following was smaller than those of these other gentlemen, is that the mass of humanity is incapable of perceiving his glory, their eyes all agog at miracles and vacuous claims to divinity. Since Easwaran is foremost among gurus, it follows that his students are foremost among students, being drawn to him not out of a desire for fame or to be part of a large movement, but because they have a real inner desire for Self-realization, and live every day in accordance with this desire. It is my opinion that many at your ashram, Ramagiri, such as Sumner, Laurel, and Diana Lightman, are in deep states of dhyana, nearing samadhi. These individuals still retain egos, however, and are “bound to goodness,” which is why my hope is extremely faint in writing to you, and I only do so at the Father’s direct request. They did not recognize the state of divine madness which overtook me in those days, making me unmindful of the opinion of the world in an all-out effort to attain samadhi, which I did at last attain, far away from the shelter of the ashram. Nor are they likely to change in their opinion of me! Such is the nature of the ego. It is also my opinion, however, that Christine is one of the few illumined women in the world today. She is not “bound to goodness,” but awake, as was Easwaran. My ministry is just getting under way. I have a few disciples, and a slow but steadily growing group of friends who listen favorably to my message. If you desire, you can read about it at www.neochristians.com. I think if you printed it all out, there would be more than 3000 pages, six reams of paper! I have written this all, while also working at a fulltime job, which means I have been rather busy in my off-hours. It has worked well for me, so far. As Ramakrishna said, I fight the spiritual fight from a fort, my own house, with no worries about from where my next meal may come! This is all that I can think of to tell you, at this point. I do not want to bother anyone, so I will not be writing to you again. I wish you all the best in your sadhanas. As I say, I regard your little group as certainly the most advanced in the world, public opinion to the contrary!

Yours in YHWH,

Guru Kurt
